Moderate rain, coupled with lightning and thunder, lashed parts of Dakshina Kannada on Sunday night.
In the last 24 hours, Mangaluru taluk received 15 mm rainfall, Belthangady—11 mm, and Bantwal—7 mm. Moodbidri, Mulki, Surathkal, Kokkada and Vittal received moderate rain. Moodbidri exper- ienced lightning on Monday evening and the sky remained overcast throughout the day. Interior areas of Udupi district received moderate rainfall in the last 24 hours.
