The Narendra Modi-led BJP has announced “fanciful” schemes just ahead of the Lok Sabha polls in an attempt to “bribe” voters, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president Dinesh Gundu Rao said on Tuesday.

Dinesh was referring to the 10% reservation to economically-weaker sections within the general category and an expectant announcement to boost farmers’ income.

“All these fanciful schemes... it’s like bribing voters, saying we didn’t do anything for you in the last five years. So, take this and vote for us,” Rao said mockingly at a news conference.
