He was speaking after performing the ground breaking ceremony for the cement road to be constructed at the cost of Rs 1.7 lakh from the MLC Local Area Development Fund on Monday.
“I have emulated the development path laid out by C Byre Gowda and Venkatagiriyappa. However, I had to face defeat in the recently held elections owing to politics of money. We should put an end to such dirty practices in politics. Moreover, the woes of the people need to be addressed through people’s contact programmes conducted on a regular basis,” said the former minister. Taluk Panchayat president V B Udayashankar, Kolar-Chikkaballapur Milk Federation Director Madderi Rame Gowda spoke on the occasion.
