Mandya: A woman and her nine-year-old daughter were found hanging from a ceiling fan at Nehru Nagar layout in Mandya on Wednesday.
The deceased have been identified as Rashmi (28), a native of Bengaluru, and her daughter.
According to the police, Rashmi was staying apart from her husband and was working for a private company in Mandya.
She was dejected with being alone and took the extreme step, the initial probe revealed.
Both mother and daughter were hanging from the same ceiling fan. A suicide note has been recovered from the spot, police said.
Mandya East police have registered a case.
