This is a day after Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, his wife B M Parvathi, brother-in-law B M Mallikarjuna Swamy and land seller J Devaraju were given a “clean chit” by the Lokayukta police.

According to well-placed sources, the team of Lokayukta police led by SP Udesh submitted the findings, running into 11,000 pages in 27 volumes, before the Special Court for MP/ MLAs in Bengaluru. "The final court contains the findings related to the four who were named as accused in the FIR,” a top source confirmed to DH. "Investigations will continue."

On Wednesday, the Lokayukta police issued a notice to the complainant Snehamayi Krishna revealing that the allegations against four weren’t proven due to a lack of evidence. The Lokayukta police also observed that it was a civil case and wasn’t fit for investigation.

Lokayukta police investigated the case, based on an FIR filed against Siddaramaiah and others, on September 27, 2024. On September 25, the special court in Bengaluru directed the jurisdictional Lokayukta Police, in Mysuru, to initiate an investigation against Siddaramaiah and others based on a complaint filed by RTI activist Snehamayi Krishna.

Meanwhile, a separate investigation related to money laundering in connection with the site allotments is being held by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
