Bengaluru: The state government has extended till July 31 the term of the Justice P N Desai Commission, which is probing irregularities in the allotment of sites at the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA).

Constituted in July 2024, the Justice Desai Commission was given six months to submit its report. In January this year, based on the Commission’s request, its term was extended up to May 31.

The judicial inquiry into illegalities in MUDA will cover the period between 2006 and July 15, 2024. Earlier this year, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was given a clean chit by the Lokayukta in connection with allegations of irregularities in the allotment of plots to his wife Parvathi.
