Shivamogga: Reacting to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's remark that Enforcement Directorate officials have no right to probe into MUDA (Mysuru Urban Development Authority) site scam, BJP parliamentary Board member and former chief minister BS Yediyurappa stated that Siddaramaiah must treat officials of ED respectfully and they have every right to do the investigation.
Speaking to media persons here on Thursday (December 5), he said ED has uncovered irregularities in the allotment of sites by MUDA and collected evidence. So, the chief minister, who is frightened, is speaking against ED.
It is unbecoming of the chief minister to make such remarks against ED. Instead, the chief minister must share ground reality with the people of the state.
When questioned on the government's attempt to weaken the power of the Governor, he said they have become very desperate. So, they are taking such a stand. It does not bring respect to the state government.
On BJP MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal's remarks against State BJP President BY Vijayendra and his family members, Yediyurappa said factionalism does not help anyone.
The open criticism against his own party leaders does not benefit anyone.
So,I appeal to Yatnal to be united and raise issues related to failures of the state government in the forthcoming winter session slated to be held in Belagavi.
