District sessions court has sentenced 12 accused in the murder of municipal council member and rowdy-sheeter Jadeja Ravi to life imprisonment.
Sessions court judge A S Bellunki awarded life imprisonment to Ashok alias Pai, Cheeranahalli Chetan, Shivanna, S Manjunath alias Dil Manju, G Chetan, Boregowda, Gandhinagar Chethu, Cheeranhalli Kumar, Kumar alias Don Kumar, Hampaapura Mahesh, Sunilkumar alias Karate Suni and K Kirankumar alias Kole Kiran.
Among the 32 accused, one was acquitted due to lack of evidence.
Among the accused, Puttaraju is still absconding, while the remaining accused were released owing to lack of evidence, said additional public prosecutor, K G Mucchandi.
Jadeja Ravi was murdered near Yadiyur Circle in Mandya on Dec 7, 2007. The murder had rocked the district.
