A release from the office of police commissioner Sunil Agarwal, who was also the deputy special officer and chairman of Dasara procession and tableaux sub-committee stated that the tableau- Mahisha mardini, a creation of Mysore ZP won the first prize followed by Bangalore urban ZP — from Kempegowda to Metro and Bangalore Karaga, second prize and Bangalore rural ZP — Baduku Jataka Bandi Vidhi Adara Saheba — DVG avara mankuthimmana kagga’, third prize.
The tableaux of Dakshina Kannada ZP — Tulu sanskriti darshana (a show of Tulu culture) and department of tourism — Ondu rajya halavu jagaththu (one state many worlds) have won consolation prizes.
Among cultural troupes, Hagalu Vesha by Doddalalappa, Sri Ramalingeshwara Hagalu Vesha Nataka Kala Sangha, Budgajangam Nagar, Hale Daroji village, Sandur taluk, Bellary district has won first prize, Koraga dance by H N Yogeesh, Navarasa Kala Sangha, Hegde Mane, Teertahalli taluk, Shimoga district second and Keelu Kudure by Sadashiva, Bheemappa Nayak, Avarakhoda, Atani taluk, Belgaum district third prize.
