Mysuru: A day after four people from same family died in Mysuru, in another incident bodies of a couple were found hanging near water tank steps at Vijaynagar ground in Vijaynagar police station limits in Mysuru city on Tuesday morning.

Overburdened by loans, the couple have allegedly taken the extreme step.

The couple are identified as Jobi Antony and Sharmila.

According to Jobi's sister Mary, Jobi's elder brother Joshi Antony had ended life by hanging himself near Hanchya taluk Mysuru taluk in Mysuru South police station limits on Monday.

Joshi and Jobi were twins. Joshi had formed a video before he hanged. He had alleged that his brother Jobi and his wife Sharmila had taken huge amount of loan upto the tune of Rs 80 lakh for alleged online betting.

The money lenders troubled Joshi, and his sister Mary for money as the couple stayed in Mary's house a few months ago.

Bodies are shifted to the Mortuary of Mysore Medical College and Research Institute for autopsy. The investigation is under way.
