Joining the large number of migrants, who once moved to Bangalore because of the IT industry, is M B Bohara, 30, a citizen of Nepal.
Currently employed at a software firm in Indiranagar, Bohara now has a reason to re-evaluate a City he once considered as ‘safe.’
“The problem is that my face resembles men from the North East and I don’t want to be a victim in case something happens,” he said.
“I have been working in Bangalore for the last ten years and I can fluently speak Kannada. I will come back once everything returns to normal and I have also conveyed the same to my bosses at the office,” he said.
Roshan Bohara, another Nepali, revealed that his parents are concerned about the situation and want him to return. “We have received SMSes threatening our lives.
What will you do when you keep getting SMS alerts saying four North East men have been hacked to death in Whitefield and that three others are being targetting in Koramangala,” he asked.
