Touted as the first of a kind in the country, the new technology facilitates the issuance of registration certificates through Aadhaar-based DigiLocker e-KYC. It has been developed in collaboration with UIDAI, C-eG, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) and the Karnataka State Nursing Examination Board.

The new system is tied to the KSNC app, currently only available on Google Playstore.

With this technology, the KSNC can directly retrieve personal data, addresses, photos and other details of nurses from the Aadhaar server through e-KYC. Previously, nursing candidates across the country had to travel to the council’s central office in Bengaluru for registration. The new tech puts an end to this hassle and streamlines the process, said Medical Eucation Minister Sharan Prakash
Patil.

The KSNC will now be able to directly fetch Aadhaar cards, SSLC and PUC marks cards, and other certificates from the respective examination boards.

Under the new system, medical students will receive a copy of the registration certificate in the DigiLocker account through a straightforward 11-step process.
