Members of Cable Operators Association staged a protest opposing the new tariff imposed by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), in Chikkamagaluru town on Thursday.

The protestors took out a rally from Taluk office to Azad Park Circle and shouted slogans against TRAI.

They claimed that the new tariff, proposed to be implemented from December 29, will burden the cable TV subscribers. “The central government should intervene and retain the existing rate card, scrapping the new one,” protesters said.
