Hundreds of farmers took part in the convention organised under the banner - Raitha Jagruthi Samavesha by the party along with the CPM and the Bhu Swadhina Virodhi Horata Vedike at Madavara, a place adjacent to the NICE peripheral road off Tumkur Road.
Addressing the gathering, Gowda said he will not to allow the State government to acquire an inch of farm land, except that which was required for the road component of the project.
