Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services Deputy Director Dr Arun Kumar Shetty said that equipment worth Rs 25.83 lakh has been given to veterinary hospitals in the district.

The hospitals have received electrically operated hydraulic table, shadowless lamps, operation table, electrocautery, autoclave , dressing trolley and surgical instrument.

He said the operation theatre rooms at veterinary hospitals in Mulki, Kinnigoli, Moodbidri, Surathkal, Bajpe, Bantwal, Belthangady, Kadaba and Kotekar were constructed under funds from taluk panchayats. The surgical instruments were handed over to the Zilla Panchayat CEO Dr Anandh K by MRPL CSR Head Prashanth Baliga at the veterinary hospital in Surathkal.
