Self-styled godman Nithyananda was brought to Central Prisons Mysore on Thursday night.

He was brought to the jail here as Ramanagar court ordered for one day remand of the godman in judicial custody. Nithyananda who is facing multiple charges was granted bail in a complaint lodged by journalists. However, he was remanded in judicial custody in another case.

Jail sources said, Nithyananda was kept in cell number- 19 at the first floor of the new building on the jail premises. It was the same cell, where suspected Al-badr terrorists Fahad and Ali Hussain too had been incarcerated, before being shifted to Bangalore. He will share the cell with another inmate.

Nithyananda will be produced before the Ramnagar court again on Friday at 10.30 am.
