 The students of the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore, have earned a reputation of winning in the prestigious international moot court competition. 

A year after they won the World Cup of the moot competitions in the Philip C Jessup International Law Moot Court competition held in Washington DC, three students of the University have bagged the second place in the Willem C Vis Moot competition, 2014, that took place at Vienna in April. 

Also refered to as the “Olympics of International Trade Law,” the NLSIU team conquered the second position in a competition that saw the participation of more than 300 universities from 70 countries. 

The team, comprising fourth year student, Y Shiva Santosh Kumar, and third year students, Ashwini Vadialingam and Deekshitha Ganesan, participated in the event that was held between April 12 and 17.

The NLSIU team beat the likes of the University of Basel (Switzerland), University of Heidelberg, (Germany), Victoria University of Wellington (New Zealand) and University of Belgrade (Serbia), to book a spot in the grand finals.
