The decision on changing or not changing the chief minister rests with the party high command and when they are not discussing it, there is no point in speculating on the issue, said Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister Priyank Kharge.
Speaking to reporters here at Hubballi Airport on Saturday, he said the party leaders, Mallikarjun Kharge and Randeep Singh Surjewala, have not discussed the possibility of changing the chief minister in state. The senior leaders are the authority to take a decision on such an issue. As long as they remain silent, there is no relevance for the discussions on it, he said.
He said that Karnataka Congress In-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala held meetings with the legislators, urging them to focus on implementing government schemes and reaching out to the people. There has been no discussion on changing the KPCC president either, he added.
Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, who was on a trip to Bihar, could not meet the chief minister and deputy chief minister in Delhi. This does not imply that state leadership is weak,” he said.
