The department of primary and secondary education has warned the schools in the state to stick to the no homework policy for students of Class 1 and 2.

Recalling the circular issued earlier, the department has warned the schools of facing disaffiliation if they are found violating the same. The department has even directed the schools to stick to textbooks prescribed by National Council for Education Research and Training (NCERT) from Class 1 to 5.

The revised circular issued by the department reads, "For students of Class 1 and 2, no home work should be given and for classes from 1 to 5, the text book prescribed by the NCERT must be followed. If any schools found violating these, then the affiliation of such schools will be at risk."

The department has also directed the concerned authorities at commissioner level to constitute a special team to visit the schools and inspect if they are following the order or not.
