Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that the BJP is unnecessarily trying to create a problem by seeking the resignation of Home Minister Ramalinga Reddy.

Speaking to reporters here on Thursday, he said that a probe was underway and four people have already been taken into custody. "There is no question of the Home Minister tendering his resignation. Is it possible to resign for all issues. If the incident has occurred in the wake of communal riots then suitable compensation will be given."

Commenting on the Mahadayi issue, Siddaramaiah alleged that the Goa Chief Minister, Manohar Parrikar, and B S Yeddyurappa are enacting a political drama. "If Parrikar is committed, then let him submit an affidavit before the court on how much water can be released to Karnataka," Siddaramaiah said.
