Kalaburagi: Frustrated with not having been paid her salary for the past three months, the library supervisor of Malkhed village in Sedam, Kalaburagi ended her life on Monday.

Bhagyavathi Aggimath (40), who hanged herself from the ceiling fan, explained her reason for taking the extreme step in a suicide note, police said. Bhagyavathi is survived by her husband, a daughter and a son.

Bhagyavathi’s relatives and members of a few organisations assembled in front of the library and demanded compensation for her bereaved family. The demonstration disrupted traffic in the village.
