Talking to reporters at T Narasipur after participating 8th Poorna Kumbh Mela , he said the funds required to organise the Kumbh Mela would be earmarked in the State Budget 2010-11.

The Government had already released Rs 10.8 crore towards drinking water and sanitation in T Narasipur town. Besides, Rs one crore each would be released to provide basic amenities at Triveni Sangama and also restoration of the historic Sri Agastheshwara Temple.

The Adichunchanagiri Mutt has come forward to build 5,000 houses in flood-hit areas of north Karnataka besides a number of mutts across the State have joined hands with the government for rehabilitation of flood-affected villages in N-K region.

Yeddyurappa said the coming State Budget would focus on development issues and projects.  The Government would fulfil all the promises made to the electorate during the State Assembly polls held two years ago. Over all, the budget will be ‘Pro-development’.

Earlier, the CM took a holy dip at Triveni Sangama and participated in the rituals.
The seers of all leading mutts were present also present on the occasion.
