The state government has transferred Prasanna, junior assistant in the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (DPAR), Protocol, to the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj department.
Chief Secretary Arvind Jadhav had recently ordered suspension of the protocol officer for the simple reason that he interrupted him while he was talking to friends at Kempegowda International Airport. Revenue Minister Srinivas Prasad had taken exception to the chief secretary’s decision at the state Cabinet meeting held on Wednesday.
The DPAR had deputed Prasanna at the airport to ensure rules pertaining to protocol were followed, which includes attending to the needs of the ministers and senior bureaucrats.
