The pro-cess of accepting online applications for ration cards for above poverty line (APL) families began on Monday.
APL families applying online can download a copy of the document on ahara.kar.nic.in. Except for Aadhaar number, there is no other pre-condition.
A hard copy of the card will be sent within 15 days. The fee is Rs 100 per card. The online facility will be extended to BPL families, Food and Civil Supplies Minister U T Khader said.
