Bengaluru: Special Friday prayers will be offered at all mosques in the state for the wellbeing of the Indian armed forces that carried out Operation Sindoor, said Minority Welfare Minister B Z Zameer Ahmed Khan.
Zameer has asked the Karnataka State Board of Auqaf to issue directions to 11,000-odd mosques in the state to hold the special prayers.
This directive came a day after Muzrai Minister Ramalinga Reddy asked all 36,000-plus state-run temples to perform special puja for the armed forces.
Meanwhile, BJP state president B Y Vijayendra, along with Leader of the Opposition in Legislative Council Chalavadi Narayanaswamy and Opposition Chief Whip N Ravikumar, offered a special puja at Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple in Malleshwaram.
Vijayendra said that he has already issued directions to all BJP leaders across districts, taluks and mandals to carry out ‘special pujas’ on Friday to invoke strength for and well-being of Indian soldiers involved in the Operation Sindoor.
