Open bus, HOHO tours to showcase Mysuru this Dasara

To showcase Mysuru city during Dasara, the government is launching an ‘Open Bus Tour,’ which will take tourists around the historic city for one and a half hours from October 10 to 20.

The special tour will be conducted by the Tourism department, Karnataka State Development Corporation (KSTDC) and the BMTC in the ‘Cauvery’ bus, an open vehicle with 32 seats. Tickets for these tours are priced at Rs 150, which also includes light refreshments.

The bus will cover places like Palace Gate, Hardinge Circle, KR Circle, D Devaraj Urs Road, Metropole Circle, railway station, KR Hospital Circle, Bannimantap, LIC office Circle, Five Lights Circle, suburban bus station and Palace Gate (Dasara exhibition side).

Besides, the KSTDC and KSRTC have come together to operate HOHO (hop-on-hop-off) bus tours, in which tourists can travel the whole day by availing a day pass priced at Rs 150.

There are 10 such buses which will cover more than 15 tourist places in Mysuru like Chamarajendra Art Gallery, Palace, Zoo, Mall of Mysore, Karanji Lake, Sand Museum, Chamundi Hill, Wax Museum, Ancient History Museum and St Philomena's Church. The buses will be available at all bus stops in the city, every 10 minutes. Tickets will be available onboard.
