Addressing a news conference after visiting the areas affected by recent rains here, he said the ministers have not at all bothered to address problems of people affected by recent downpour. Even the district-in-charge minister of Hassan has so far, not visited rain affected areas despite instructions from Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa. In total, the government has totally failed to take up relief measures in the flood-hit N-K region. Not a single house has been constructed by agencies fixed by the Government. “The affected people would have themselves built house had the government released money to them directly”.

Motamma promised to pay a compensation of Rs one lakh from KPCC to two persons who were killed in the recent rains in the district. Besides, it would also release Rs 25,000 towards educational expenses of a girl child.

Continuing her tirade against the State Government, she alleged that the government was involved in a series of corruption.  Housing Minister Katta Subramanya Naidu and the chief minister were allegedly involved in land scam. They should resign owing moral responsibility.

The people would revolt against the incumbent government and teach a lesson to BJP in the coming days.

On internal suqabbles In Congress party, she denied any kind of differences of opinion in the party.

She batted for the idea of having an alliance with Janata Dal (Secular) in the coming elections. However, she said it was up to the party high command to decide.
