Oppn urges Horatti to expel Ivan D’Souza from Council

Bengaluru: Citing Congress MLC Ivan D’Souza’s remarks questioning Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot’s decision allowing a probe into corruption charges against CM Siddaramaiah, BJP and JD(S) lawmakers on Monday appealed to Chairman Basavaraj Horatti to expel him.

“At a demonstration held in Mangaluru in September 2024, D’Souza had condemned the Governor for allowing a probe into the allegations made against the CM. He had urged the President to recall Governor Gehlot,” read the complaint submitted by the opposition parties.
