Pakistan High Commissioner to India Abdul Basit and his wife Summiya Basit on Saturday visited tourist and religious spots in Mysuru and Srirangapatna.

The couple marvelled at the architecture of the Gumbaz. They offered prayers along with the locals present there. Earlier, they visited ‘Daria Daulat’ the summer palace of erstwhile Srirangapatna ruler Tipu Sultan. They had a glimpse of the paintings, weapons, furniture, three dimensional paintings of Tipu among other artefacts.

They also signed on the record book maintained there. They visited Ranganathittu Bird Sancturay and took a boat ride for 15 minutes, according to sources. Later, the couple visited the popular Amba Vilas Palace in Mysuru.

They were accorded warm welcome by Palace Board Director Indiramma and Deputy Director T S Subramanya on their arrival.
