The State government had constituted a sub-committee led by Public Works Department Minister C M Udasi to look into the demand of daily wage workers to regularise their services.
Now, that the committee has submitted its report, a final decision will be taken in the Cabinet meeting, Shettar said here on Wednesday.
Ombudsmen appointed
The minister said ombudsmen have been appointed in 15 districts to look into irregularities in the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme.
Ombudsmen will be appointed for the remaining districts soon, he added. Shettar alleged that the Union government had stopped its grants under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana.
Karnataka, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh have not been receiving funds for the scheme, he said.
