Last Updated IST

The High Court on Friday dismissed the petitions filed by two accused in the II PUC Chemistry paper leak.

It also vacated the stay on the Karnataka Control of Organised Crimes (KCOC) Act, 2000. Justice Anand Byrareddy dismissed the petitions filed by Manjunath N and Santhosh Parashuram Agasimani, a second division assistant in the sub-treasury at Hangal.

Additional Advocate General A S Ponnanna said that they would require sanction from the ADGP to file an investigation report. Previously, another judge, while granting a stay on the KCOC Act, had said that the stay will not obstruct the petitioner from seeking bail. The petitioners’ bail application will be heard in the next week.
