A contestant can submit unmounted photographs (maximum of four). The name of the photographer must be written on the back of the photograph. Photography works altered with digital technology will not be considered for the contest.
The entry must be accompanied with name, age address, nationality, e-mail and other details, and sent in an envelope superscribed “photography contest,” to Director, Information Department, “Vartha Soudha,” No 17, Bhagwan Mahaveer Road, Bangalore - 560 001, within Sep 30.
Selection of winners
A team of technical experts will select the winners. The Department has the right to use the selected photographs in government publicity campaign.
The first prize for the contest carries a cash reward of Rs 20,000, the second prize carries a cash reward of Rs 15,000 and the third prize, Rs 10,000 for second and third prized respectively. Ten consolation prizes, each with a cash reward of Rs 1,000 will also be given.
