Davangere: Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda mentioned that the government is considering photoless property registration in the ‘Kaveri Software 3.0’. This will be limited to property transferred from reliable and secure sources such as government bodies, alone, he said.
Addressing media persons here on Friday, the minister said when the Davangere-Harihar Urban Development Authority (DHUDA) allocates a plot, it will be sufficient if the buyer’s photo is featured in the property registration document. “However, this is in the experimental stage. But this system would not effect sale or property purchase,” he added.
He also informed that modern technology-based Rovers’ are being provided for land measurement. Over 600 ‘Rovers’ have already been purchased. Soon 1,000 equipment will be provided to surveyors. Till now, the old method was followed to measure the land. The ‘Rovers’ equipment will bring in more accuracy, he said.
