Gonikoppa: A plantation owner in Kongana of B Shettigeri in Ponnampet taluk was reportedly murdered by unidentified miscreants on Wednesday evening.
The deceased was identified as 49-year-old Pradeep. He was unmarried.
A native of Kerala, Pradeep owned a plantation in Kongana and resided alone at his house in the plantation.
Police have stated that the culprits slashed his throat, and he died of excessive bleeding.
The motive for the murder is yet to be determined.
Gonikoppa police have registered a case.
