New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh from the Prime MInister National Relief Fund (PMNRF) for the next of kin of each deceased in the road accident near Yellapura in Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka which killed 14 people and injured several others.
The PM also announced an ex-gratia of Rs 50,000 to the injured.
“Deeply saddened by the loss of lives in the accident in the Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka. Condolences to those who lost their loved ones. May the injured recover soon. The local administration is assisting those affected," the Prime Minister’s Office handle said in a post on X.
