Mangaluru: To maintain law and order following the tense situation after the murder of rowdy sheeter Suhas Shetty, commissioner of Police has issued a prohibitory order under section 163 of BNSS from 6 am of May 2 till 6 am of May 6 in Mangaluru commissionerate limits.

Commissioner Anupam Agrawal said that during the period gathering of more than five people is prohibited.

Further, shouting slogans against government institutions, carrying weapons or explosives, provocative speeches, use of foul language, and holding protests is also banned.

The prohibitory order is not applicable to any programmes organised by the government.

Adding to this, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad has also called for a district-wide bandh on Friday.
