Police seize three sand lorries

Dibburahalli police recently seized three lorries carrying illegal sand near Ajjakadirenahalli.

The team headed by sub-inspector Raghavendra acted upon the information provided by the revenue inspector and seized two lorries and a tempo carrying illegal sand, in the third-of-its-kind raid since March.

The market value of seized sand is estimated to be at Rs 1.5 lakh. The seized lorries have been handed over to revenue department for further action.

A case has been registered and a manhunt has been launched to nab the drivers who are at large after the seizure.

Man commits suicide

A 32 year-old man from Chougupete committed suicide by hanging himself.
The deceased who has been identified as Naveen Babu, who worked as a security in one of the companies in Bengaluru. Family dispute is said to have been the reason for his extreme step.

Naveen was rushed to the hospital, but died as the treatment failed. He was suffering from depression.

Another case of suicide has been reported from K Hosur. The deceased has been identified as Krishnappa (45), a resident of K Hosur.

Both the cases have been registered at Town police station and the investigations are on.
