Belagavi: There was a power outage at Suvarna Vidhana Soudha for a while during the media briefing by Assembly Speaker K B Koliwad on Sunday.
The Speaker was giving details about the bills which would be tabled in the winter session when the power went off. He used cell phone flashlight to read out the press note. "What would happen if there is outage when the House is in session?" Koliwad remarked.
Speaking to reporters, the Speaker said that the House was empowered to take a decision regarding on enforcing punishment awarded to journalists Ravi Belagere Anil Raj regarding breach of privilege.
