Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy on Thursday said he will soon convene a meeting of all stakeholders to streamline the power distribution system in the state.

Speaking at a meeting to review the functioning of various electricity supply companies, Kumaraswamy, who also holds the Energy portfolio, said there should be no power disruption in the state, especially in Bengaluru. The demand for power in Bengaluru stood at 3,000 MW.

The chief minister told the officials that power lines should be installed without inconveniencing the people. Power to various parts of Bengaluru is supplied through underground lines. A committee comprising representatives of the Energy department, Public Works department with Bengaluru Urban Deputy Commission, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike Commissioner and Bengaluru City Police Commissioner will be set up for better coordination, he added.
