Continuing his tirade against Chief Minister for removing him from the Cabinet, former minister V Srinivas Prasad on Monday fired a salvo at Siddaramaiah, seeking a change in the top position.

Speaking to a Kannada news channel, Prasad said, “If there were plans for any change, it should have been in the chief minister’s position.” He went on to assert that he was “in way no inferior to Siddaramaiah in political clout”.

He said that what had hurt him the most was the “lack of courtesy” as the chief minister didn’t take him into confidence before dropping from the Cabinet. He said he would disclose “everything” at the right time because he didn’t fear anyone.

Throughout the day, Prasad’s house, ‘Bheema Sadana’ in the Jayalakshmipuram locality, teemed with leaders of all parties who called on him to express their solidarity.

Union Minister of State G M Siddeshwara, accompanied by Mysuru and Kodagu MP Prathap Simha, met Prasad. KR Nagar MLA Sa Ra Mahesh and HD Kote MLA S Chikkamadu, both from the JD(S), were also among the visitors at Prasad’s house.

Tanveer Sait, who was sworn in as minister on Sunday, also met Prasad.
