President's award for Kannada teacher from Sringeri

D Rajanna receiving the Best teacher award from President Pratiba Patil on occasion of teachers day at New Delhi.

Rajanna has to his credit the glory of making his students secure 100 per cent marks in Kannada subject.

He has served as the President and Secretary of Sringeri’s Kannada Sahithya Parishat for 13 years.

He has been awarded with  District’s outstanding Kannada language teacher award in 1993, ‘Rajya Shikshanaratna’ award in 1997, ‘Rajya Shikshaka’ award in 2003 and ‘Guru Puraskar’ in 2006.

“Receiving this award has been the most memorable experience of my life and this is the biggest honour bestowed on me in my 32 year teaching experience,” said Rajanna.
