Speaking after inaugurating the ceremony Andolan, Mysore Editor Rajashekar Koti said “journalists should abide the ethics of the profession. A journalist should work for the society. He should respond to the grievances of the public. His profession should reflect the notion of press envisioned under the democratic values.” He should be the voice of the people, he said.
Several youngsters are making their way into the field. However they should always be concerned with the thought that they work for people. One should introspect on the responsibilities as a journalist.
Delivering a talk on stress related issues, Psychiatrist Dr P V Bhandari said journalist profession stands seventh in the list of most stressful profession as per the study conducted by the Centre for Disease Control, USA. Association President Gokuldass Pai, Secretary Kiran Manjanbailu, Dinesh Kini and others were present.
