The police also banned sale of liquor from 6 am on Thursday to 12 midnight. The decision was taken after considering reports from intelligence wing some vested interests and anti-social elements have planned to create law and order problem once political parties start carrying out procession either to celebrate or to protest.

The intelligence wing report has indicated routine work in High Court, other court complexes, Vidhana Soudha, Vikasa Soudha and other government offices in and around Vidhana Soudha are likely to be affected. The police have taken all measures to thwart any attempt to take law and order into hands.
