Belagavi: Six women BJP workers were arrested in Belagavi for participating in a “black flag” demonstration to protest Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s remarks on the necessity of going to war with Pakistan on Monday.
The workers displayed the black flag during a public event that the CM was attending.
Released on bail
All six women were taken to the Primary Health Centre in Vantmuri for a medical examination after they were arrested, and subsequently produced in the court. They were released on bail, confirmed BJP worker Shilpa Kekare, who raised slogans against Siddaramaiah.
