Railways ties up with India Post

The Railways has tied up with the India Post to launch “Book now and pay later” scheme for pick up, booking, dispatch and delivery of cash remittance notes, vouchers, warrants from railway stations through the speed post, reports DHNS from Bengaluru.

The South Western Railway and the Postal department have signed a memorandum of understanding in this regard. Initially, 159 and 146 stations of Bengaluru and Mysuru Divisions, respectively, will be covered.

The facility will be extended to other stations in Bengaluru, Mysuru and Hubballi divisions in the next phase.
