Several parts of state received rains on Tuesday. Rains accompanied by thunder and lightning lashed parts of Kodagu. There were also reports of rain from Sakleshpur and Arakalgud in Hassan district.

Due to depression over Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu coasts, rain, accompanied by thunder is likely across the state for the next two days.

Director-in-charge of IMD Bengaluru Sundar M Metri told DH: “Due to depression, whirls are occurring in north coastal area of Karnataka. These will cause rains in certain areas
of Karnataka for two days. Chamarajanagar, Mysuru and Mandya districts are expected to receive rains.”
