Rajesh does it 'non-stop'

He began the concert with ‘Yaaro’ from ‘Orata I love You’ at the strike of 7 pm, and also began the rain of melody. The title song of ‘Jeevanadhi’, followed by ‘Janma Needuthale..’, chartbuster ‘Kariya I Love you...’ with Dr Shamitha Malnad, ‘Bidu Bidu...’  from ‘Pallakki’, Rajesh Krishnan cast a musical spell on young and old alike.

Barring a break of minutes to facilitate the organisers to fete him, Rajesh performed without taking any interval not to  disappoint the huge crowds. Of the total 15 songs he belted out, almost  all were what today’s youth yearn to listen to. Be it ‘Ondonde...’ from Inti Ninna Preethiya, ‘lets dance jothe jothe..’ from ‘E bandhana’, ‘Nooru Janmaku...’ from ‘America America’, Sumne Sumne Nagthale...’ from ‘A’.

With dancers performing in sync with the songs, it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say; was it a song being aired on TV, with the lead pairs dancing with co-artistes?

‘Usire usire...’ from ‘Huchcha’ that had set a craze topping most of the music programmes after the film hit the screens, was the showstopper that took the gathering to a different world. ‘Santoshake haadu santhoshake...’  from runaway hit movie ‘Geetha’ did remind one of late actor Shankarnag.

Next it was time for folk with ‘Desi Lahiri’ from Hamsalekha. The highlight of the programme was a huge number of artistes clad in colourful costumes depicting a cultural procession much to the applause of the gathering. It was a perfect treat ahead of ‘jamboo savari’.
