Bengaluru, DHNS: The Lokayukta police have arrested two people, including the district registrar of Ramanagara, on charges of accepting bribes, officials said on Wednesday.

The suspects have been identified as M Sridevi, district registrar, and her associate, Kiran DR.

According to the Lokayukta police, Kiran continued working at the office despite his contract as an outsourced employee having expired.

The duo allegedly demanded a bribe of Rs 33,000 from the complainant for official work. Both have been remanded to judicial custody until February 27.
