The rank and file of the party was ready and excited about the upcoming polls to the local bodies, said Nikhil. Elaborating on the efforts undertaken to strengthen the party organisation across the state, Nikhil added, “All of us are working together to ensure the victory of our candidates in the elections.”

Nikhil expressed his delight with the overwhelming response to the JD(S) membership drive in Mysuru.

“I have toured seven districts to increase party membership. I was unable to come to Kalyana Karnataka for a number of reasons. But now, in the presence of leaders of this region, we will launch our party membership drive in Kalyana Karnataka,” he added.

In a veiled dig at the Congress government over its inaction in the suicide of Bidar-based contractor Sachin Panchal, Nikhil said, “The legal system has collapsed in the state, with pressure being brought upon the police, who are unable to bring criminals to book as a result.”
