Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council, K S Eshwarappa demanded that the state government convene the legislature session again at the earliest.

Eshwarappa told reporters in Bengaluru on Tuesday, “Why wait till November? A lot of important issues could not be discussed as the government was in a hurry to adjourn the session sine die. The court had also passed an order in the M K Ganapathi suicide case. The session could have been continued, but the government didn’t want it to.”

Kagodu ‘changed’
Eshwarappa also said that Revenue Minister Kagodu Thimmappa had “changed” after he was inducted into the Cabinet. He said that Thimmappa, as Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, had pulled up the government for its “misdeeds” several times. But after he became minister, he has been attacking Opposition parties.
